Everything you need to know about memberships
As an employer, you must appoint a competent person or people to help you meet your health and safety legal duties.
You could appoint (one or a combination of):
- yourself
- one or more of your workers
- someone from outside your business
If your business or organisation doesn’t have the competence to manage health and safety in-house, you can get help from a consultant or adviser. SAFE offer cost effective H&S support for your company from Chartered Health & Safety Advisors, but remember, as the employer, managing health and safety will still be your legal duty.
Based in Elgin, SAFE operate in the Northeast of Scotland, mainly in Morayshire, Aberdeenshire and Highland areas. Depending on the level of service required, we can provide services for companies based wider afield.
SAFE aim services at smaller companies where they require assistance to develop health and safety policies and procedures. SAFE offer personal service where you talk to people with your best interests at heart. We are not a large faceless organisation who operate online

As a not-for-profit organisation, the primary objective of SAFE is to provide support and assistance, not to maximise profits. We operate as part of your team providing personalised services at a realistic cost. Our fees are dependent on your needs.
